GIS The
Town of Mendon produces it's own Geographical Information System (GIS)
map projects from data files provided by the County of Monroe
Department of GIS Services. Maps range from Town Zoning to special
project maps like the locations for deer that have been struck. Perhaps
the most referenced of all town maps are the Environmental Protection
Overlay Districts (EPOD) map series.
There
are Eleven EPOD maps that identify environmentally sensitive areas that
may restrict development due to the potential adverse affects of
altering the identified land feature or impact to surrounding areas.

NOTICE... Some of the EPOD maps linked on this page are combined with other
overlays. This was accomplished to simplify a protected area... e.g:
Watercourse Map includes all water related information, and Steepslopes
includes Scenic Vista, as higher elevations highlight the scenic views.
Other maps will become available for download as they are updated.
Web Services The
Town does not outsource it's web services. We publish and maintain our
own website and manage all e-mail account in house. In addition to
website development and maintenance of all associated web products, the
Website Manager (officially titled) also serves as a source for town
officials to resolve Information Technology issues.
IT Services Information Technology (IT) Services (A
buzz word of the new millennium) has become a technical essential for
municipalities and private business using an assortment of new
technologies. Network Administration and Security is among the leading
support services for ITS.
